Water Damage – Merrimack House

Water damage to this Merrimack house was the result of a massive storm causing flooding in the basement of the dwelling. Other areas of the house suffered minor water damage. The flooding in the basement was exacerbated by the fact that there was a power outage that rendered the sump pump inoperable. The before photo shows one of our industry certified technicians using an extraction wand connected to a truck-mounted extractor to remove standing water from the basement floor. The after photo shows the basement with the glue down carpeting removed. The carpet had to be removed and discarded due to the potential for contamination from groundwater intrusion.
