SERVPRO Provides Merrimack Home With Water Restoration and Demolition Services

SERVPRO was recently called to a local home to address water damage caused by a "cracked toilet tank" on the property. The incident impacted not only the bathroom but also the nearby hallway and adjacent room. Unfortunately, the damage was so severe that demolition was also needed, and many of the affected walls and floors were stripped down to framing.

Upon receiving the call, SERVPRO acted quickly to provide the home with swift Merrimack-based water restoration and demolition services. When it comes to a water-loss incident, it is always our goal to quickly deploy air drying equipment "to prevent further water damage." Additionally, remediating quickly can help prevent bacteria and mold growth on your property.

Throughout the damaged sections of the property, we daisy-chained our air movers and dehumidifiers together to maximize the amount of equipment throughout the damaged area. Using this technique, we can chain up to four devices to an air mover plugged into a single outlet without overloading the socket.

We use technological devices such as electric demolition hammers to remove tile easily and quickly. Our job is to get the demolition done as quickly as we can, "to prevent the spread of mold and bacteria in the affected areas." When stripping down the impacted rooms, we make sure to handle all aspects of the demolition. We bag up damaged material and insulation and either dispose of them ourselves or leave them at the curb for city waste management.

Once demolition is done, we can focus on our drying plan. You may see many advanced technological devices, combined with techniques as simple as opening windows to maximize airflow. All of our equipment works together to encourage evaporation swiftly, so SERVPRO can return your home to you, "Like it never even happened."
